Bangladeshi (Passport Holder) seafarers ID and Record Book (as seamen book) information (upto 1473 numbers)

Vide Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of Bangladesh is circular No. Naupama/ja-2/4(1)/2002-499 dated 15/12/2003, the Department of Shipping of Bangladesh issued to seafarers Identity Document and Record Book for the passport holder seamen of Bangladesh. From 24-02-2007 the passport holder Bangladeshi seafarers are getting ID ( seafarers identity document) as seamen book to continue their sea services. The information of ID holders are as in the attached document:

Machine Readable Seafarer Identity Document (SID) Issue

The Department of Shipping is issuing Machine Readable SID from its Head Office, Dhaka.
All the seafarers are requested to submit their application to Department of Shipping, 141-143, Motijheel C/A (8th Floor), Dhaka-1000.
Fees for SID are as follows:
(1) Cadet/Officer - Tk. 700/-
(2) Ratings - Tk. 500/-
A Sample application form is attached herewith for you to submit the application accordingly.
